Documents Required

Supporting documentation helps our specialist team assess your application. The type of document depends on your hardship reason.

Job loss or redundancy:

  • Termination letter or redundancy notice from employer
  • Last payslip showing final employment date

Medical emergency:

  • Hospital admission or discharge summary
  • Medical certificate from treating physician

Reduced income:

  • Recent payslips showing reduced salary
  • Letter from employer confirming reduced hours or pay cut

Family emergency or bereavement:

  • Death certificate (if applicable)
  • Any supporting correspondence

Documents can be submitted via email to loansupport@hdfc.bank.in. If the customer cannot provide documents immediately, the application can still be submitted — the specialist team will follow up within 48 hours.
